In all seriousness, though, this must become your practice.
Why are are we afraid of being non-attached? Why are we afraid of becoming unattached to relationships, the length of time that relationships last, to status, to fame, to power, to material things, etc.?

I love this quote because it really does get to the heart of the matter. It’s not (always) the external stuff that is the problem. It is our attachment to the external stuff that becomes problematic. And we cling to external stuff because we want things to stay the same. But this is an insane practice because nothing stays the same.
The only thing guaranteed in life is change.
So, let’s explore this today. It is, without question, a practice that you need. But don’t take my word for it. First, experience it for yourself.
